Chinese New Year

We made these guys in class today. They are almost finished and hanging up on our ceiling. On friday, we are having rice balls to celebrate the New Year. I would make dumplings, but I have a feeling I might eat them all before they get to school. We are making lanterns on Friday as well for our lantern parade (technically for the last day of the New year), but we are ending it a little bit earlier. Well that is it for today. Trying to look for my camera so I can get the current pictures going.

It is time...

We went to the garden to plant our seeds. Although our plants did not grow, we made sure they had plenty of water and sun. Can't wait until we get to go out there again.

The puppet show. It is always a good time.

We love to play picture bingo. Back then my students needed to see the pictures, now we can play by sounding out the words.

We let go some ladybugs in the garden. They flew everywhere, but boy was it fun.
So it took me a while to think about what to do with this blog. I didn't go on it that much (mostly because my work consumes my life), but I wanted it to be more than just a comment or two every 6 months.
Well I found it!
A teaching blog!
My passion in life. I cannot wait to post all of my projects and be able to share with the world my heart and soul.
So to all those who are just arriving, Welcome!
Here are some older pictures of some of the fun times we have had in the past. Many are from my other classrooms.
